BC Hydro is offering free energy-savings kits for people with low-income. (The income threshold depends on your area of residence as well as number of people in your household.) For details on the kit and registration, click here.

It is very generous of BC Hydro to assist persons
receiving a low income. This is a wealthy busniness
that can afford to do so. Congratulations!

The TNRD library has a Electronic Energy Meter, which can be borrowed like a book for one week, if you want to check out the energy consumption of various appliances and search for phantom loads (energy still being used while you believe an appliance is turned off – ie TVs which can be turned on with a remote).
