Green Funerals

Environmentally friendly, or green burials, are popular in England, but almost unknown in Canada. Across Canada, 47% of deceased are cremated; in British Columbia the rate climbs to 78%. While many, including some funeral directors, consider cremation to be environmentally the best option, critics list both the use of fossil fuels and the emission of pollutants as reasons cremation should be reconsidered.

Shampoo-Free Planet

For some, their body is a temple. For me, it’s a walking experiment. Last year I gave up sugar for 77 days, to see what would happen. Good things did. This had an influence when, nine months later, shampoo became the next big question.
